7/29 Got Pride?
In other countries homosexuality is banned and outlawed. In Nigeria, homosexuality can be punishable by death. There has also been hate crimes toward homosexuals in the US. For most, some of our friends are homosexuals. Do you think that we as a people have to go to that extreme to keep homosexuality closested in the world?

I don't see a reason why homosexuality should be closested. I guess some people see it as "wrong" but honestly, homosexuality does not effect straight people. We live in America, where you have all kinds of freedom. People should have the right to be with whoever they'd like whether its someone of the same or opposite sex.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that homosexuality should be closeted at all. There is no reason to look down on a group of people because of who they chose to be with. Life is a personal choice and we all have the ability to chose our own life there should be no reason to closet homosexuality. If that is closeted then so should heterosexuality.
ReplyDeletewell obviously being gay, I do not think that we need to go to such extremities to keep homosexuality closeted. I mean, I can sometimes grasp the meanings behind some people's concepts about homosexuals. And most of the time, people's arguments are never backed by facts or knowledge they have personally. It's all just hear-say arguing. And also, with some gay couples I think that they need to take a step back sometimes. I know that every gay person in America is trying to be out and proud and believe me I'm one of them. But some homosexuals need to know when and where they need to keep it at a certain level. Does anyone have someone close to them that is gay?
ReplyDeleteI hate when people say they hate that kind of people. I just tell them to look at some of your friends, they dont reliaze that some of there firends are like that. I just think they hate them because they are differnt, who gives a crap if there differnt it's there choise of what they want to be.
ReplyDeleteSome people still look at homosexuality as wrong and there are those who believes they we all will be attending the first class express to hell. However i personally can not control my feeling towards the same sex. This does not mean that I am sttracted to all but at the same time i can not keep myself closested. Does anyone agree?
ReplyDeleteI feel like do what you want to do. I love columbia theirs atleast 1 gay person in every class and I love you all! People are getting overboard though to me. In the church saying that it's not welcome in the church i feel like God has acceptance for everyone in his kingdom. And in the society and community i think that people should let them do what they want like its not effecting you; its not ruining our economy, or causing the war in Iraq or global warming or anything. People should be allowed to love whom ever whenever!
ReplyDeletePeople who think that being homosexual is going to send them right to hell are ignorant. It shouldn't be considered a sin because it is simply what you prefer. It makes no sense to be considered doing something wrong because there is no way to control attraction.
ReplyDeleteI feel somebody preference should be up to them. If they want to swing that way it should be thier choice and no one elses. At end of the day people gone say what they feel about it because every one has their own opinions. I dont think people should be hated own because of their preference.
ReplyDeleteI don't see why homesexuality is kept closeted. Simply because we are all unique. We can't all be the same thats what makes everyone great. It's like colors there are many patterns, and thats what makes it fun, that we have a variety to chose from. It's the same with people if we were all the same it would be boring. I have homosexual friends and they are great, my bestfriend is homosexual, and I love her. So I guess the key in all of this is not to let criticism affect who you are. Because at the end of the day the only person that you should please is yourself. The rest have to except who you are. What's one thing that others have to except about you?
ReplyDeleteOne of the main arguments that i have is with the gay marriage law is that the government's big thing is that gay men and women can not join in holy matrimony because the BIBLE states that marriage is between a man and a woman. But the United States DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE states that the LAWS SHOULD NOT BE MADE IN ORDINANCE OF THE HOLY BIBLE. sooo...what is their next excuse?
ReplyDeleteI think people are just afraid of things that are different from them. They need to get over it and move on. I used to be homophobic and one day on of my friends came out to me and I was like man, there really is no diffrence and that's when I started accepting gays, but really I should have been more accepting in the beginning, it shouldn't have taken that, but I guess sometimes it takes something personal to change who we are
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jen. Like some people look at me as a contradiction because I am very church orientated and im GAY. They think I cant do both. Either choose one side. Does anyone think like this?
ReplyDeleteI agree with k.o. because god loves everyone supposedly. Why would you have to chose between church and something that is involuntary. I also agree with Kurt I think this whole law thing is just some excuse because ignorant people that do not understand things and have closed minds are afraid to let people be happy and love who they want.
ReplyDeleteit's the peoples decision if thats what they want in life, everybody has a choice, everyone has their opinion and its up to the person because it is your personal life and if thats how you want your life to be it is your choice
ReplyDeleteIt makes me mad sometimes cause im not religious at all. and a lot of people just assume that im not because of my sexual orientation. and sometimes my friends ... well old friends would get into arguments over it. i was really church oriented when i was a little kid. but as i grew older and developed my own thoughts, i strayed from religion cause of how i viewed the world.
ReplyDeletek.o. I dont believe that homosexuals will be send to hell, simply because god has control over us. Obviously he had total control of homosexuality, so he could have not let it excist. I'm not a religious person, but to me this makes sence. He invented us, therefore he invented everything about us and what we are exposed to. Do u agree?
