Ink July 29
Tattoos have been a part of my life for a long time. Then there are the people who go past tattoos and get body modifications such as spikes in their head, tongue splitting, eyeball tattoos, and tattooed eyeliner. How much do you think is too much? Is there even such a thing as too much?

I personally think that there are certain points people should not cross. However that's kind of conrtadicting because alot of people who have tattoos and piercing, those are the things that make them who they are. Like Lil Wayne, some would sya he is going over board with the tats but i think that it fits his demeanor.
ReplyDeleteLIke you said all the carp they do for there body, that is going way to over board. There is such a thing called to much. There is a point where every body has to stop doing all that stuff.
ReplyDeleteIt depends on the person you are and it is your decision on what you want to do to your body and yea i believe some people take it too far . . . who would get body modifications?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about how much is too much. I guess don't think there is really a limit. I think people should be aware of the prejudice others may place on them for the way they look, but people should be able to do whatever they feel they need to express themselves.
ReplyDeleteI know that if I ever got a tattoo, it would be the Zelda triforce on the back of my wrist with black light ink.
How do you think tattoo’s influence how we perceive others?
I really don't really know because i dont have any tattoos! But i do feel like what ever tattoo you get should be well thought out because afterall it will be on your body for the rest of our life until you get it removed or something. I also think that tattoos should only be on parts of your body that wont show on the usual because no one is going to hire you in the future with a huge tattoo on your neck that says POOKIE or something crazy. For example Steve O from the show Jackass HAs his whole face on his face.To me that is a bit excessive!
ReplyDeleteEveryone has their own opinion on life aspects. I don't think there is such thing as too much. Because what can seem like too much for some can be not enough for others. Therefore, there is no such thing as too much. It all depends on a person likings and dislikes. I personally wouldn't get body modifications, but I would get tatooes. I feel that tatoos represent what you like and also who you are. What tatoo design could represent who you are?
ReplyDeleteI think that there is a point of too much because of how you will be seen in the world. There is such an obsession with people's outer appearance and having too much affects the way people see you. I think that tattoos do influence how we perceive each other.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that tattoo's should have a limit. But I do think that people should think more about censoring certain tattoo's that could be deemed offensive to certain people. I know that being tattooed is a way of expressing your self and individuality but i think some things are better left un-inked. But limits on tattoos is nonsense. i have 3 already and i got my first done when i was 15. in the past week i have decided to get possibly 3 more piercings, and about 5 more tattoos within the next six months. does anyone else get random impulses?
ReplyDeleteTongue splittings are stupid. Eye tattoos, also stupid. Body mods, stupid. Also tattooed eyeliner? Seriously?! Couldn't you just put eyeliner on everyday before you leave your house?

I think tattoos and piercings are an example of art. I see it as a way for people to display their personality, the way they see the world around them or simply just to be creative. And I don't think there is a limit to how much a person can have of the two. Although I agree that tattoos and piercings that are on your face or maybe disturbing piercings but at the same time I disagree with JLewis because I know a lot of people with tattoos and facial piercings who have great jobs.
ReplyDeleteI think all of the tats that I have pretty much explains the type of person I am. i have the serentiy prayer, a rebel tat, and music notes. Im not the ordinary type of person so i would love to have my tattoos represent that.
ReplyDeletetattoos go with individuality, I don't think you can go over board because it's all personal, it's about you, it adds to your character, it's part of who you are.
ReplyDeleteI think that it is too much when you have as many tattoos as Lil Wayne. Thats just too much! Or when you decide to get laced qourset peirced into their backs. I like tattoos, but I do have a limit. Right now I have three and I want more, but I want more tattoos in more places where I can hide them if needed.
ReplyDeleteI dont really know whats too much but its up the person who wants the tattoos. I think what is too much though is volger tattoos like if some one had a penis on their neck or something like that. If people want spend their money and get tatt tatt tatted up thats fine with me.
