Continue the smarts :P

Will anyone use the knowledge they gained in Bridge this summer so it wont diminish in the month before classes start?

  1. Absolutely that was probably the whole point of going to Bridge to use the knowledge to help me along here at columbia so i dont stuggle or have major problems while in class.

  2. I plan on using my writing skills because that is my main focus when school starts. I didn't sign up for any math classes because I didn't want to tackle math so soon. So I will do what was suggested about writing everyday to better myself. I want to be beyond prepared for school. Does anyone feel that what they learn will help them towards their major?

  4. I plan on using everything i learn from bridge. All of my teachers really helped me realize how good of a student i could be. In the Fall i wil not classify myself as a struggling freshman.

  6. I plan on using my english skills and not so much my math skills, i dont think. I mean i learned stuff in math but for some reason in math i always learn things for the test and i never absorb things like i do in english or in history. Math is so difficult to me that i just cram everything in get a good grade on the test and then forget it all, its like i have retard math syndrome or something

  7. I am going to continue to read things, because I think that it will make it easier for me when I get to College. I want to keep the skills that i've gained in bridge and take apply it to my fall classes.

  8. Yeah I plan on writing a little bit between now and the day we start. I didn't take math because I hate math and kind of want to put it off as long as I can. haha. But I definitly want to keep up on writing.

  9. I agree with Jacki. I tend to just take math and try and do well but I never actually take the things I was taught with me. I can never things I remembered in math and I don't think I'll take that with me.

  10. I am also going to start reading things that i dont find intrest in to prepare me for college because i know everything that i read wont be amazing as Our America < truly a blessing that i got a book that was interesting. Whenevre i read something that i dont find interesting it doesnt stick in my head its like im skimming or reading blank page after blank page. For example the ACT readings were so boring i almost fell asleep.Did anyone else have that problem?

  12. Oh my God, the stories on that ACT test was so horrible. I couldn't focus at all. I either went to sleep real quick or drifted off to another place.

  13. I came to bridge because I wanted to prove to my self and my teachers that I am capable of doing college level work so I can continue and go on to become a Columbia student and I will remember and use all the knowledge that i have learned
