College

So I was just wondering, is anyone else really excited to go to school in the city? I mean instead of going to a state school where theres really nothing to do but party, we have the opportunity to live in a place where we can do so much more and go out and adventure. What's everyones feelings on that? Who is so excited to be in the city instead of somewhere else?

  1. i am going to school in my neighborhood so it is kind of not exciting really to me. I mean its cool that i am so close to my house because i live on 14th and state the bus ride is literally like 5 minutes. I do love staying here though because I didnt want to leave im not much of a party girl unless it is my party and everyone there is someone that i hang out with.

  3. I guess it's not as exciting as I thought it would be. I was excited at first but now it's just kind of annoying at times. The overcrowdedness and loudness kind of bothers me after a while. But I love the city more than living anywhere else so even if it does get annoying, it's better to live in chicago then a suburb.

  5. I can't wait to live up in the city. My town kind of sucks. Theres really not a lot to do. Coming up to the city is going to be awesome for me. I think anyone who comes up to the from a smaller town is going to love this place. I forgot when I asked this question that some people already and familar with the city. I'm not at all. (laugh out loud) so I love it.

  6. I am excited to be in the city. A lot of people don't know that Chicago's downtown area has so many different things to get into. I love the fact that no matter what street you're are on you still find something to explore or something to learn about. Every place downtown seems to show you a little bit more about the life here in Chicago. I feel so good to be able to do a variety of activities and some of them don't even come with a price. That is another thing I love about the city is everything is right in your grasp and you don't need large amounts if any money to have a wonderful time. What is everyone's favorite place to be in Chicago?

  7. I am more concerned with moving to my apartment rather than going to school in the city. I lived here for 18 years so its really nothig suprising. However i do find it more exciting than a campus in a rural setting. Does anyone not know where to find fun in the city?

  8. I think my favorite place to be in the city is Bucktown or the Wicker Park area. I'm not sure why but it's just a lot of fun over there.

  9. I'm excited to stay on campus, not so much in the city, cus I've been living in Chicago all my life. If I would have had the opportunity to go to Columbia in Cali, I would have taken that oppurtunity. Overall I'm happy that I ended up here because I met all of my classmates and staff, and their awesome. If you had the option to go to Columbia College in Cali(if Columbia had a location there) would you've taken it?

  12. i absolutely LOVE being in the city. i have lived in the middle of a corn field my whole life. when i come to chicago for bridge, its like a escape into a whole other world. it seem surreal to me when i go back home and im driving around and there are nothing but fields around me. no high rises, no one is walking around, no taxis or buses. even though waking up every day at 545 just to be on time to school and not getting home till 6 at night is starting to take a toll on me. but i know that it will get easier when i move down here :)

  17. I am excited to be living in the city. Like I just recently found out that I will be living in the 2 east 8th building instead of the plymouth building. This building is like the 2 east 8th, they both are apartment style. But the 2 east 8th apartments are just nicer looking to me. Which dorm building does everyone else like the most?

  19. k.o You could never be bored in Chicago. There is many things to do from the simplest to the most extravagant things. You can go to the movies, beach, clubbing, bars(fake I.D lol), house parties, concerts, mall, park etc. The point is you could never be bored. Do you agree?
